Wraps are the perfect accessory for any time of year. They travel well and can go from casual to very dressy based on the fabric choises. One of my favorite wrap tops is Silhouette Patterns Collette’s One-Piece Wrap. It is so easy to make, looks great, and fits almost every body type.
Red Wool Wrap
This wrap takes about 2 hours start to finish!
This red and silver wrap is a stretch wool from Mood Fabrics.
I made it for my daughters rehearsal dinner, just a light wrap to keep the chill off – her wedding was in March and it can be very cold in New England. The fabric has no stretch, but the drape is soft and the gold thread makes it very dressy!
Blue Mohair Wrap
The blue mohair wrap below is also a Mood Fabric find. It is almost like a fuzzy blanket! The mohair gives the wrap an elegant touch, and it is super warm. I wore it to a November outdoor wedding, it kept me toasty warm.
Black Stretch Wrap
My everyday – go to wrap – is a soft two-way stretch jersey from Joann’s. The black goes with everything, it is just enough on my shoulders and looks modern. The smooth drape makes it comfy to wear and always looks great! I have had this wrap for years, it washes great and is perfect for traveling. The lightweight fabric is a terrific packer and when I’m in a tropical climate, it is just the soft cover I need when there is a dip in the temps. It also give a day dress a little going out to dinner upgrade.
