Don’t you love this classic striped blazer with a hip feel. The single breasted, welt pocketed, pinstriped jacket is cool and casual.
This jacket is inspirational. You can wear it as a dress – very hipster, or as an over jacket with slacks and a great blouse for a couture, office casual look.
A good pattern to start with is Very Easy Vogue 9138 and this Railroad Stripe Denim from Joann’s won’t break the bank. By lengthening the jacket, you have the same pattern – fish eye darts, welt pockets, and a notched collar. The knee length is flattering to every height, just lengthen the jacket to just above your knee and you have the perfect proportion. Who says a pattern has to be complicated to be high end retail.
