Modern Sewing Patterns for the Home Sewist
Denver, Colorado is more than just the Mile High City, it is home to True Bias Patterns. I’ve made this T-shirt/dress three times and I still love it.

The Pattern
I have made the Rio Ringer T-Shirt/Dress three times and I just love the way it is constructed. The classic, yet curvy T-shirt shape hugs your shape. Finishing off the sleeves and neckline with the suggested ribbing — I have also used bias binding — gives your garment a high end finish.
The instructions have you using a zig zag to finish off the knit hems and binding, so it is perfect for someone who does not have an overlocker or serger and wants to sew with knits.
The Fabric
A quality knit fabric is perfect for this T-Shirt & Dress.
I used the Minerva Core Range Bamboo Jersey for the one pictured above. Along with a white ribbing.
For the new peach version, I used Minerva Core Range 100% Cotton Sweater Knit in Light Rust. I only needed 1.5 meters to make this long dress hack. I also used the same fashion fabric to make the ribbing for a dressier look.
This cute yellow T-shirt version from a very light weight knit fabric I had in my stash is a great addition to my casual wardrobe.
The Pattern Hack
This time around I lengthened the dress to make it floor length and left slits in the lower third of the dress. I also added 1″ to the sleeve length. I wanted something casual, but chic. It will be perfect for my upcoming cruise.
The fabric is a Minerva Core Range 100% Cotton Sweater Knit comes in over two dozen colors. You can also shop for lots of sweater knit fabrics at Mood. Both outlets offer high end products that compliment the True Bias Rio Ringer T-Shirt.
